Retreats: Spirituality Simplified, Reconnect with Nature
This retreat focuses on reconnecting with nature, mindfulness, and meditation, offering presentations, yoga, hikes, and campfire gatherings. Accommodation options include a studio loft, rooms in the Main House, and outdoor camping sites, with nearby hotel and Airbnb options available. The ultimate goal is for attendees to leave with new friendships, inner peace, and a deeper connection to joy.
Our retreats are held in Palenville, New York, within the lush Great Northern Catskills. Palenville is known as America’s first art colony, where landscape painters from the Hudson River School gathered in the 1800s. The tiny hamlet is also believed to be the basis for Washington Irving’s short story Rip Van Winkle. Kaaterskill Creek winds its way through Palenville, and participants will get to visit the famous and inspirational Kaaterskill Falls. It is the highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River and has been the subject of numerous paintings, photographs, and poetry. Palenville is also close to Woodstock, NY.
The focus of our retreats is to connect with nature, eat well, rest, and engage in discussions about meditation and mindfulness. There are opportunities to hear presentations, practice yoga, and enjoy hikes, outings, and nighttime campfires.
On-site lodging includes a studio loft that accommodates up to four guests, rooms in the Main House with a shared kitchen, dining room, living room, and two baths, as well as outdoor glamping/camping sites. There are also hotels and Airbnb rentals close by. Our goal is for participants to come away with new friends, a sense of inner peace, and a connection to the fount of joy within.
